Well gee where to start. It all started last summer when a friend of mine and I were cursing on the lake thinking of things to do in the off season (all the time we can’t be on the water). So we began brainstorming, now when I say brainstorming I mean sitting around shooting ideas around, while listening to music and chilling at the sand bar with all the guys from the lake. We came to the conclusion that there is no clothing line specifically oriented towards our favorite past time, wakeboarding. It started all then and there. Now when we thought of how to brand our idea we came up with the idea of the entire vibe that goes along with the wakeboarding scene, the “mojo” of the sport. That’s the chicks, the beach, the beer, the boat the parties on the water, the music the everything, The "Backdrop" to the entire lifestyle. That is what Backdrop is. Our company isn’t just some clothing line with some nifty tees and hats(although they are pretty sick) it is the way we live, the way we go about our everyday thought of just waiting to get on the water and do what we love best, ride. The logo was inspired by the thought of the waves and that water is continuously moving, just like the sport, we are always looking for some new spot to which or some new lake to ride. It also represents our brand name, “Backdrop” you can figure that one out. That is the story of the becoming of backdrop stay tuned for more product updates and new shit on the horizon.
